How We Got Started...

Guests in need of emergency shelter are enrolled in the Nighttime Shelter Program, in open beds on a “first come – first serve” basis. The Daytime Program provides two meals, laundry, showers, and transportation to necessary appointments between the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Intake for the Nighttime Rotating Shelter can be done 12 p.m. and before 3 p.m. Guests must sign-in at 5:00 p.m. for the evening. The Rotating Nighttime Shelter intake is in the ChristNet Services Center, 25275 Eureka Road, Taylor MI. 48180.

The ChristNet Services Rotating Shelter Program can accommodate up to twenty-eight guests on any given night (depending on the facilities of the host church) ChristNet is not a family shelter. We do our best to help families find an opening in a Family Shelter when they come to ChristNet. As part of the enrollment process, guests complete enrollment and emergency contact forms, plus sign a statement on ChristNet Services Shelter Program Policies and Guest Guidelines.

Guests depart from ChristNet Services via the ChristNet van. The first van leaves the Center at 5:30 p.m., the second van around 6:30 p.m. Upon arrival at the host church a hot dinner is served. After dinner activities may include playing board games, watching TV or a movie.
